WELCOME NEW MEMBERS
The Halliburton family placed membership with us on Wednesday, December 12th. We welcome parents Doug & Janice, son Wayne and daughter Kaylee to our fellowship at Highland Lakes. May we be of mutual encouragement and a blessing to each other. Please add to your directory their information; it is available from this week’s bulletin or the church office.

WITH SYMPATHY
John C. Brewer, JR., age 81, died on Friday, December 7th, at Baylor, Scott & White, Lakeway, after battling with heart issues and cancer, lately, for several years. He is survived by his wife, Ida, son Robert R. and daughter-in-law, Penny, two grandsons and many nephews and nieces. We enjoyed John and Ida while they were living here in Kingsland and were members at Highland Lakes. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be tomorrow, Monday, December 17th, here at our building, beginning at 1 PM. Our love, prayers and condolences go out to Ida and all the loved ones and friends.
BEAUTIFUL FOOTNOTES
“To God be the Glory” is a constant reminder of our brother George Funk as he relays the work of the Gospel Chariot Missions and its efforts to help Africans take the gospel to the continent of Africa. What a blessing that we are able to help support this effort. Please pray for this work and as you’ll find in this note from George, there are even more reasons to give God the glory. For the elders, Ken D
Hi Everyone,
Hope this finds you doing well. This is just a short little message to share with you some numbers I have just received and compiled from the different countries and chariots and I am blown away and never thought they would be this good, but then again, I am so human.
IT IS MORE LIKE 4,000 BAPTISMS A YEAR
As you know, our dream has always been to get to where we would be baptizing 1,000 souls a year, and then it was: Please God, help us baptize 2,000 souls and then, please Father help us reach 3,000 and now I can inform you that we are about to reach the 4,000 souls this year. God and the African brethren are up to something and we need to thank you all for making this happen. ITS CRAZY GOOD.
But that is not all: What has really blown me away, is the number of Church Plantings we have been part of. 33 churches have been started this year with brethren using the Gospel Chariots. That is fantastic as brethren use the chariots for this. Statistically, they say, the most effective way to reach the world is PLANT A CHURCH.
Then over 15,000 World Bible School students were recruited to study through World Bible School in the different countries and I know its even more than that.
Brethren, this is great news and I just had to share this with you as I just received it, but also as we come to the end of another year. We hope to have our last quarter report out in the first week in January.
Merry Christmas to all and may our Good Lord be with all as we go into 2019.
Appreciate you all.
In Him,
Love
Brother George Funk
