The Highland Lakes church of Christ
Nestled in the Highland Lakes area of the Texas Hill Country, 65 miles northwest of Austin, at the convergence of the Colorado and Llano rivers, Christian believers find comfort and peace in the natural beauty of God’s creation.
The congregation of believers, joining hands together to make up the body of Christ, meeting as the Highland Lakes church of Christ are a loving family of God. Most of us hail from other towns across Texas and the United States; however, all of us call Kingsland, “HOME”.
The reason we feel so strongly about our home being in Kingsland, Texas, is that we have all found a church family here that provides the love, support, caring, encouragement, inspiration, and challenge of genuine brothers and sisters, mothers, fathers, children, parents, and grandparents, much like a family should. We believe that the family of God should provide such a nurturing environment if it is to be true to the Christian values and principles we hold so dear.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. For this reason, we seek New Testament authority for the things we practice and teach. God built the church just the way He wanted it in the 1st century AD and our goal is to remain faithful to that scriptural pattern. We do not claim to be perfect, but with God’s help we seek to grow into the image of Christ.
