On Thursday, September 13, we will resume “Eating Out Together”.
There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the back of the auditorium.
The group will meet at Hoover Valley Café at about 5:30 PM.

• Thursday, September 27 — The Lions Club will meet in the Fellowship Room from 10 AM to 1 PM.
• Saturday, September 29 — Auction Benefitting Cherokee Home for Children. Bidding starts at 9 AM. Concession stand will be serving burgers and snacks.
• Sunday, September 30 — Chad Wagner from Africa Christian Schools will give a report in the combined Bible Class and he will also preach. Chad is Doug Wheelers’ replacement.
• Sunday, September 30 – This is also the day for our Fellowship Meal. It will be hosted by Ken & Gail Darnell, Bill & Mary K. Flanary and James & Vicky Williams.

Our congregation has long supported efforts to share God’s word with people seeking their creator. For many years we have supported the efforts of EASTERN EUROPEAN MISSIONS with a yearly contribution of support. Each year as EEM seeks to fundraise to support their efforts, we have taken an opportunity to increase awareness of this work and to give the congregation opportunity to individually support prayerfully and if desired by additional financial contributions. On Sunday, September 16th, a special collection will be taken for EEM. Contributions should be earmarked “EEM”. Prayerfully consider your support.

After the fall of the Soviet Union and the lifting of the Iron Curtain, Eastern Europeans jubilantly celebrated the political freedom they had long been denied. But few have realized the true freedom that comes from knowing God’s Word. Since 1961 EEM has been delivering the Bible and this year we continue to have an opportunity to share true freedom only experienced through knowing Jesus.
Thank you for your support as we begin our 2018 Million Dollar Sunday (MDS) annual fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $2.4 Million. Our Million Dollar Sunday campaign provides funding for Bibles and Bible-based materials, free to all.
