DINNER TOGETHER
This good fellowship is starting up again on Thursday, March 8. The group will meet at Tequila Jalisco in Kingsland at 5:30 pm. The sign-up sheet is on the table in the back of the auditorium.
THE AUDITORIUM IS BEING PAINTED!
For that reason we are meeting in the Fellowship Hall today, Sunday, March 4th, for Bible class and worship. We are looking forward to the brightness that we will enjoy in the auditorium when we will be able to meet there again soon.
DIRECTORY CHANGE
Please change in your directory our newest member’s name from Lawrence Stevens to Lawrence Stevenson. All other information is correct. Sorry for this mistake!
PLEASE CHECK . . .
. . . the “Continue to Remember” list and the “In The Military” list periodically, updates are very important! If you think that your name or the name of a loved one needs to be removed (or added), please let the secretary (Helga) know! And as always, a written note or an e-mail is best.
This is very important! Please cut out the “Continue to Remember…” list for your own prayer sessions. We need to reduce this list; of course, continued prayers are very important.
Your help is very, very much appreciated!
BEAUTIFUL FOOTNOTES
“but the word of the Lord remains forever. And this word is the good news that was preached to you.” 1 Peter 1:25 (ESV)
An exciting event is taking place in Africa this week that we are blessed to be part of. A group of Nigerian preachers, with part of their support from us, have gone to the nation of Swaziland to share the gospel and encourage the church there. Please pray that this mission team will be successful in their efforts. For the elders, Ken D
UPDATE ON MISSION TRIP TO MATSAPHA, SWAZILAND from Mike Udam, whom we help support.
Dearly beloved supporters, we greet you in Jesus precious name. Our evangelism team comprising the four of us, Osita Onuora, Bassey Esang, Mike Udam and Abiodun Adegoroye to Matsapha, Swaziland is scheduled to take place next week from Thursday, 1st March through Tuesday, 13th March 2018.
We wish to recall that we raise a total of one million, three hundred sixty thousand Naira only (N1,360,000.00) from the generosity of eight of you our benefactors, and we are now able to actualize the vision of strengthening the church in that area of Africa, and adding value to their functioning.
We, once again, wish to use this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to you for making possible our taking the life-saving gospel to other parts of Africa in a very proficient manner and to hopefully, by the grace of our God, significantly impact the lives of our brethren in Swaziland. We appreciate you, your love for Christ and His work, and pray that God increase you and your commitment to Him by abundantly replenishing your means and give us all an abundant increase in souls to the glory of His name.
We have booked our flights, and planned our trip to Swaziland in March. We hope to leave our various stations next week Wednesday and gather at Lagos for take-off on Thursday 1st March 2018. We hope to continue to update you as event unfolds by the grace of our Lord.
The Elders of the Matsapha church have approved our program as sent to them and we shall extend our activities to the physically sick in Mathangeni Church of Christ Clinic. The total package as we gave in our last report include interactive sessions teaching evangelistic strategies, internet evangelism, understanding computer systems, setting up business (computer etc.), leadership training – principles, strategies for development of leaders in the church, mission in Africa etc.
We continue to appreciate your prayerful support as we travel and covet your prayers during the trip and campaign. Once again, we thank you very much and may our Father who blesses those who invest in His work abundantly bless you even to your tenth generation. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV)
We Remain Excited to Serve Him, and are Happy to be Found Useful.
Sincerely yours, Mike Udam, (Coordinator) Thu, Feb 22, 2018
