September 2, 2012 This Weeks News


September 2nd, our Sunday morning adult classes are beginning a study of Titus. We will use the same teachers and rooms.

September 5th in our Wednesday night Bible class, Joe Winnett will teach the combined class in the auditorium.

Beginning on Wednesday evening September 12, at 7:00 p.m., we will have a class on “The Christian Destiny” taught by Charles Greenawalt. In the Old Testament Job asks the question, “If a man dies, will he live again?” What is the answer? This class will meet in the Fellowship Room.

At the same time, Ken Darnell will be teaching “Church Growth”. This class will meet in the auditorium. Ken will be presenting God’s balanced formula for growth.


Ladies Bible class will start this Wednesday, September 5th, with a special treat. Dana Grubb, the author of the book that will be our study guide, Fall through Spring, will be our guest speaker. A luncheon will follow this special beginning of the Ladies class. The study guide books are available for $4.00. Please pay this amount to Paula.


Visitation Team #1 (leaders: Teri & Joe Winnett) will meet onWednesday, September 5th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library for their assignments.

September 2nd: New adult classes Sunday morning

September 5th: Ladies Class resumes, followed by a luncheon

September 12th:  Bible classes on Wednesday evening (Ken Darnell, Charles Greenawalt switch locations, repeat previous lessons)

September 15th: Ladies Day at Llano church of Christ, 9:00 to 12:00 a.m.

September 23rd: Annual Corporate meeting after morning worship

September 29th: Annual Auction at Cherokee Home for Children (flyer on the bulletin board)

Food Pantry Needs!

The Food Pantry is still in need of peanut butter, canned meat and pork & beans. Your help is very much appreciated!
