The Highland Lakes church of Christ, in Kingsland, TX has made the decision to temporarily suspend all church services and activities beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020 in response to the Corona Virus (COVID-19).

Our primary consideration is our love of neighbor. We love God when we love our neighbor. Loving our neighbor may mean canceling services for a period of time to hinder the spread of the virus. Fear did not drive this decision but care for others. In this way, we love and care for our most susceptible to the virus, and we love our neighbors by contributing to the mitigation of the spread of the virus. God prioritizes love of neighbor because, as Jesus reminded us, God desires mercy and not sacrifice (Matthew 12:7; Hosea 6:6).
