HOLIDAY FELLOWSHIP

Sunday, December 2nd is the day for our Holiday Fellowship Meal after our morning worship assembly.  We have collected stuffed animals and dolls that we will donate to the Care-A-Van.  That organization gives these toys to children that have a challenging time in hospitals. We thank everyone for their donations!

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

All are invited to come to Cary and Brenda Miller’s home, 1922 Bluebonnet Lane, for an Open House.  This will be on Monday, December 10th, from 5-8 pm. Thanks to the Millers for opening their home and to all the “helping elves” who make this yearly event a great success.

A NEW WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY

On Wednesday, December 5th, we will begin a new study entitled, “God’s People in a Troubled World”. Each lesson will address how God wants us to handle difficult or undesirable situations in life. Focusing on 1 John, 1 & 2 Peter, and Jude, we will discuss biblical guidelines for how to live peacefully in the midst of life’s storms. Cary Miller will be leading this study.

What follows is Part One of a recent report from our fellow workers in Cambodia, Dennis & Sharon Welch. Please keep this work, the Welches and the people of Cambodia, in your prayers. For the elders, Ken D

Dearest family,

Where has the time gone? In so many ways it seems like just yesterday when we departed our loved ones Stateside and started our new journey in Cambodia. On the other hand it’s hard to believe we have now lived overseas for 10+ years. That’s right—in August we celebrated our 10-year anniversary.  Our hearts have been strongly touched by the people of Cambodia and we absolutely love it here. We are incredibly grateful for each of you who have journeyed with us and stood beside us from many miles away. Thank you for partnering with us through your numerous prayers, and through your love, encouragements and support!!!

Praise & Thanksgiving…

A prayer of thanksgiving and praise on how God is allowing us to use opportunities for coaching and mentoring others throughout everyday interactions: “Lord please help us to listen well and ask good, impactful questions as we serve and walk beside others.”

We’re so thankful for our church family, fellow missionaries and co-laborers. We have been blessed richly by so many families over the years. Many of our friends and associates here are faced with transitions and decisions that affect their life, family, ministry and well-being. Please join us as we pray for peace, clarity and direction in their lives and their future ministry and work.

The love that a family has is unlike anything else. We continue to sing praises to God for the reunion of new family and old, near and far. “Thank you Lord for the gifts you have given each of us as we join together in reaching out to one another, to our loved ones and in our ministry!”

2) Love Cambodian PeopleOther news and highlights…

We are filled with zeal and encouraged as we see more Kingdom growth in our neighborhood. As we continue to reevaluate and move according to God’s will we are seeing ways we can stand beside and encourage the local leaders. Especially the Dorm Ministry in our own community as Dennis is coaching and mentoring as God prepares the hearts of young new generation guys. We are also encouraged to see additional classes we can be involved in with the dorm students.

Our local neighborhood ministry & outreach is increasing with deeper relationships. We are thankful for the times we chat with neighbors and as they open up and share their thoughts and concerns. We are connecting just by sitting with them, being a good ear and just caring. We see how God is working at softening their heart and allowing them to trust more deeply.

Grace, Peace, Love & Blessings, Dennis and Sharon
