IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

 Thursday, September 27 — The Lions Club will meet in the Fellowship Room from about 10 AM to 1 PM.

 Saturday, September 29 — Auction Benefitting Cherokee Home for Children. Bidding starts at 9 AM. Concession stand will be serving burgers and snacks.

 Sunday, September 30 — Chad Wagner from Africa Christian Schools will give a report in the combined Bible Class and he will also preach. Chad is Doug Wheelers’ replacement.

 This is also the day for our Fellowship Meal. It will be hosted by Ken & Gail Darnell, Bill & Mary K. Flanary and James & Vicky Williams.

FAREWELL FOR NOW

As many of you know, Larry and Evelyn Moore have officially moved to Lubbock to be a little closer to their children. Our congregation is so grateful to the Moores for the many years of faithful service they gave to us. Evelyn was a wonderful blessing to our children’s Bible class program and a helper we could count on in so many other areas. Larry faithfully served us as an elder for many years and his counsel was always a big help. We will miss this godly couple, but we know God has some exciting opportunities for them in their new home! God bless y’all!

EEM Offering

We thank the brethren at Highland Lakes for their generosity in the annual contribution for Eastern European Missions. The initial count from Sunday was $3,355, which will undoubtedly grow from additional gifts still coming in. When you consider that $5 can equip a student and $1,000 can equip an entire school with Bibles and related materials, this offering is sure to have an impact for Christ!
