BEAUTIFUL FOOTNOTES
“For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:12 (ESV)
We have, as a congregation, been blessed to be able to support the gospel in so many ways and places. In the following, Brother Doug Wheeler, who assists our efforts from Norman, OK, shares the effect of a recent contribution we made to the Lord’s work in Nigeria. Please keep this all in your heart and prayers. For the elders, Ken D
Dear Brethren,
Oh, thank you so much – ONCE AGAIN – for the financial support you have sent to me for Nigerian evangelism! Even though I do not go to Nigeria any more, you have decided to help me one last time to fund projects that I think are worth supporting. In the latter part of 2018, this ministry will be turned over to another preacher and congregation, and it will be left up to him/them to decide what projects they might like to help in Nigeria! I will be turning over my mailing list to them, so you my get a letter from them at some point next year.
Brethren, I can never thank you all enough for the great support you have been to me in this ministry for Christ to Nigeria that I have been involved in for several years! Your friendship over the years has been so valued! I think the world of you all! I pray that you, Brethren, keep pressing ahead in life – and I will do the same! – So that one fine day, we will all find ourselves in the presence of our God in heaven!!
With your $2,000 contribution, I have decided to allocate your contribution as follows:
$500 for Project #1 – These funds will be divided evenly with each of the two preacher-training schools as student scholarships.
$500 for Project #2 – Support for the Great Workshop 2018 (Feb 7-11) expenses of four day workshop for 500+ Nigerian preachers.
$500 for Project #3 – Will be used in the printing of Sylvester Imogho’s tracts. We can never have enough money to help Sylvester print his tracts, for they are used throughout the Nigerian Brotherhood.
$500 for Project #4 –This will be used for World Bible School Administration expenses to run this program. Most of these funds are always spent on POSTAGE!
I sure do hope you all are doing FINE! God bless you for your love of mission work in Nigeria, especially through the WBS work you are involved with … for decades!!
In Christian love, Doug Wheeler
