DURING THE ASSEMBLY
Sunday morning, we welcome our special guest speaker Monte Tuttle from EEM, Eastern European Mission. He will give a report about this important work in the combined adult Bible class in the auditorium. We are also looking forward to his message during our worship time.
Next Sunday, November 19th, we will have the opportunity to take part in a special contribution to help EEM to have more Bibles and related materials to give to organizations in Eastern and Central Europe. Lives and souls will be changed through our generous contributions.
We are also still encouraged to contribute to World Christian Broadcasting today, if we haven’t done it yet. Through WCB the gospel is broadcast daily up to six languages that are the earth’s most spoken languages. The goal is to add more languages and so fulfill more and more Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).
Ken Darnell will preach this Sunday evening in the absence of Joe. Joe has gone to Tennessee to pick up Teri’s brother, Patrick’s, belongings. Patrick will be flying from Tennessee next Tuesday to come here to Kingsland, where he will be making his home with Joe & Teri.
COOKIE TIME IS COMING UP!
Again, we will collect cookies to be given to the Cherokee Home for Children for their holiday party. The cookies will be packed up by the members of the Ladies Class on Wednesday, November 29th. Homemade cookies and also delicious store-bought ones make a good contribution. They should be brought to the Fellowship Room by Sunday, November 26th.
We can also start bringing stuffed animals/dolls for our Fellowship Meal/Holiday Party on Sunday, December 10th. They will be given to Seton-Care-A-Van for children in the hospital. Make sure that there are only embroidered eyes on the stuffed toys!
We are so blessed today to have Monte Tuttle from EEM with us today to share about the work they are doing in helping spread the word of God to those seeking Him. We are thankful to have the opportunity to support EEM through our prayers and financial contributions. Consider how you can support the work of EEM. For the elders, Ken D
The Bible. We Want Everyone To Get It.
Since 1961, Eastern European Mission (EEM) has been providing God’s Word to the people of Eastern Europe in their own languages. Now, EEM provides Bibles and an array of Bible-based materials in more than 20 languages – to individuals, families, churches, campaign groups, children in youth camps, public schools and universities, orphanages, hospitals, prisons, and anywhere else Bibles are needed – free to all.
EEM is working with national leaders in countries like Ukraine, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Greece to distribute thousands of Bibles and Bible-based materials. EEM is also currently fulfilling requests for Bibles in two entire regions in Ukraine, 50,000 New Testaments in Slovenia & more!
Join us during the campaign to fulfill these requests for God’s Word in 2017. The soil is rich – send the Good News of Jesus to the hopeless and lost, and help them flourish by sowing seeds of hope – the Bible!
