WITH SYMPATHY
Our prayerful thoughts go out in love and sympathy:
♥ To Henry Kattner and Mary upon the death of Henry’s sister, Doris Wyant, who passed away in Wichita, Kansas. A memorial service took place last Monday, May 29th.
♥ To Norma Bryan who lost a brother-in-law, Roy Bodie, in Mansfield, Texas. Norma went to Post, West Texas for the funeral.
VISITING FOR THE MASTER
(VISITATION PROGRAM) Team #1 (leaders: Joe & Teri Winnett) will meet on Wednesday, June 7th, at 6:30 pm in the library for their assignments.
TOWN HALL MEETING
There will be a Town Hall Meeting at our building on Tuesday, June 20th, at 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM. Llano County Commissioner for Precinct 3, Mike Sandoval, has requested permission for such a meeting at our facility. He has assured us that this is an “informative only” meeting for those who are interested about services etc., available to the citizens of Kingsland. It will neither be political or money-making. It is simply designed to inform and he will answer questions. He will bring bottled water for those who attend. Such meetings have already been held at various area churches, including the First Baptist and the Community Church.
HELPING HANDS PANTRY NEEDS
No special requests this week. If you have offered to bring the requested tubs, please do so. After that no more will be needed. Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL FOOTNOTES
“So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.” Acts 19:20 ESV
We are so thankful for the power of the word of the Lord and for every opportunity to help support its spread. In the past, we as a congregation have supported the World Christian Broadcasting. In the near future we look forward to hearing more of this work from one of their representatives. Please keep this work in your prayers and thoughts. For the elders, Ken D
World Christian Broadcasting
God wants people—all people—to enjoy a personal relationship with Him. Many in our world have little or no opportunity to hear about God’s loving invitation.
World Christian Broadcasting is a non-profit organization supported by concerned Christians whose purpose is to take God’s Word—through mass media—to people who may have no other means of hearing the Good News. The message of God is relevant to all times yet the ways that message is delivered must stay current. World Christian Broadcasting’s international shortwave broadcasting, communicates the Good News to millions every day. KNLS, located at the top of the world in Anchor Point, Alaska, has been on the air since 1983. A new station is presently under construction in the region of the Indian Ocean.
