Shampoo, deodorant, tooth brushes, tooth paste and bar soap.  Thank You!

PUT THIS ON YOUR CALENDAR

  1. The Fellowship Meal that would normally take place on Sunday, March 26th, has been moved to Sunday, April 2nd. This change was made so that we can spend our fellowship time with the Emperado family who will be reporting to us on their work in the Philippines. Therefore we WILL have Sunday PM services on March 26th, but we will NOT have Sunday PM services on April 2nd. Please make note of these changes and plan to help us welcome the Emperados!
  2. The Cherokee Home for Children will have its food drive on May 6th, 2017. We will again be sending money for this effort rather than trying to collect and deliver food items. If any members would like to contribute to this effort, please give your gift to one of the elders and it will be included in the check sent to Cherokee.

FELLOWSHIP DINNER

……will be next on Thursday, April 13. We will go the Bluebonnet Café in Marble Falls. The group from the church in Marble Falls will join us between 5 and 5:30 pm. The sign-up sheet is already on the table in the back of the auditorium.

VISITING FOR THE MASTER

VISITATION PROGRAM Team #2 (leaders: Cary & Brenda Miller) will meet Wednesday, March 22nd, in the library for their assignments.

9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 (ESV)

We are blessed to share our love for the brethren of Nigeria with our fellow laborer in the Lord, Doug Wheeler, who coordinates much of the support for evangelism in Nigeria from Westside church of Christ in Norman, OK. What follows is from a letter he sent recently. The letter from Godwin I. mentioned within will be in next week’s bulletin. Please keep the brethren in Nigeria in your prayers. For the elders, Ken D

Update on the Nigerian Evangelism work (February 2017)

Dear beloved Brethren,

I sure do hope you all are doing FINE! We are A-OK up here in the northern part of Texas (Oklahoma! Ha!), and appreciating life as God sees fit to give us!

I want you all to know that I wired monies to Nigeria on January 31st, and part of that wire was the money you gave me for funding the Nigeria 2017 projects. Money was sent to Sylvester I., for him to spend on WBS Seminars that he will conduct in his area. After he has held each of these seminars, then he will send me and you all a report (with pictures) of each of the seminars that those monies funded. He is now at The Great Workshop this week (Feb 7th -11th) in Warri, Delta State.

Brethren, I enclose a letter that I received from a Nigerian preacher named Godwin I. whom both Sylvester and I know well. I am sending it to you all, only to show you all how tough things are in Nigeria, which I think you know. You have helped with benevolent needs in recent times. And I want you to know that someone sent me some extra money to send to brethren in Nigeria to buy food to help out some. I gave some to Godwin. He was to take that money, buy food with it, and give the food out to those who need it, including himself for his family if they need any. He told me by phone the other day that he and his family were OK, but others were really going to appreciate this help of food this time!

Brethren, I am enjoying working only 2 days a week, but can’t seem to keep up things! Ha! I will continue to adjust! I see all my grandkids so often and that is a BIG pleasure to us! I hope these kids keep me YOUNG! Ha! God bless you brethren! Thank you for your support! In Christian love, Doug Wheeler
