PANTRY ITEMS NEEDED:
DEODORANT
*We have enough plastic bags for now, but please keep saving them. They will be needed again soon.
Holiday Schedule
Since Christmas day is on a Sunday, we will have morning worship services only. There will be no morning classes or evening worship. Many of our members will be traveling or have company in for the holiday, and the elders made this decision so we will have time with our families.
Holiday Request
Bob and Donna Feuerbacher’s son-in-law, Bill Starling, is in Afghanistan. His wife requested that we write cards and bring them to Donna so she can mail them to him. What a wonderful way to encourage a man who is serving our country to keep us all safe.
Thank you
Thank you all for your cards, calls and prayers while my brother, Patrick Harvill, had heart surgery and our daughter-in-law, Sharon, went through gallbladder surgery. Both are doing much better and asked that we convey their thanks as well. Each one of you is precious to us, and we love you very much. We are so blessed to be a part of such a kind, loving Christian family. Joe and Teri Winnett and family
BEAUTIFUL FOOTNOTES
29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. 30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones. Proverbs 15:29-30 (ESV)
It is always refreshing to hear good news from those who serve the Lord God. Today we share good news from Sunset International Bible Institute. We have supported many of their past efforts and Lord willing in the future may help again in taking Jesus to the world. Continue to keep these efforts in your prayers. For the elders, Ken D
I have good news to share with you.
Recently SIBI hosted dinners in Dallas and Fort Worth, and the response was outstanding. In Dallas we welcomed 600, and in Fort Worth 300 guest and supporters who came to hear about the ministries, missions and the ongoing efforts to grow the Kingdom that SIBI is dedicated to.
SIBI has been training men and women for over 50 years, and we have seen over 10,000 graduates. We are blessed to be in 113 countries and all 50 states in the USA. AIM (Adventures in Missions) is active in 45 countries and 13 USA states.
SIBI has 84 satellite schools in the USA, and 72 international schools in 42 countries around the world, and on any given day you will find over 30,000 people using the SIBI material to increase their knowledge of the Word, and learning how to be a more effective witness and teacher to those who need to hear the Word.
A team from SIBI recently spent time in Greece where they were able to speak and study the Muslim immigration situation, and how Sunset can help reach the thousands of Muslims that have been displaced or are fleeing from their homes to save their families from destruction.
We are seeing Muslims being reached throughout the world with Solar Players, but also in the most populated Muslim area of the USA (Dearborn, Michigan) through the works of a SIBI graduate, “Wissam Youssif Al-Aethawi,” a young man who grew up in Baghdad in a Muslim family, but through a series of events that only God could be responsible for, became a Christian, moved to Lubbock, TX, and graduated from SIBI before beginning his ministry to the Muslim community in Dearborn.
Our Solar Player missions are continuing to grow, and we have distributed over 6,000 Solar Players throughout Africa, South Africa, Ethiopia, and several other areas of the world. Now in Phase lll, we have begun the distribution throughout Latin countries starting in Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and other Latin countries in 2017.
We have witnessed new churches starting everywhere Solar Players are, and have seen hundreds of baptisms everywhere the Good News is being brought and shared through the Solar Player missions.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
God Bless, John Clinton, Sunset International Bible Institute
