Thanksgiving Schedule

Classes will be dismissed THIS Wednesday for Thanksgiving. We hope this will give you time to prepare for the holiday and visit with family.  1 Thessalonians 5:18 – In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Thank you!

We want to thank each of you for your prayers, cards and calls concerning my sister, Mary Tillman. We know your prayers are what have gotten us through such a difficult time.  We are truly blessed to be part of such a loving Christian family!  Valerie Cook and the Hazelwood family

Church Budget

This is the last week our elders will be finalizing the new budget for 2017. If you have any additions, changes or concerns regarding the budget, please talk to one of the elders.

Cookies for the Children

We will be collecting cookies for the children at Cherokee Home for Children. They prefer store-bought cookies, but home-made is fine. Please have them here by Tuesday, November 29th, so the ladies can pack them on the 30th. Thank you!!

Seton Care-A-Van

Stuffed toys for the Seton Care-A-Van program are due on December 11th at our holiday fellowship meal.  Please make sure the eyes are not button-type eyes, but are embroidered directly onto the toy.

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshipped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20 (ESV)

Our Lord’s final dialogue with his disciples directed them to be disciples who would make disciples, who in turn would make more disciples. What a privilege as His disciples today to continue that mission of going to make disciples of all nations. With millions of those people using the Spanish language every day, it has been a blessing for our congregation to support the Worldwide Spanish Literature Ministry, which helps so much in taking the gospel to this portion of the world. What follows is from their 2016 end of year letter. Continue to keep this ministry in your thoughts and prayers.  For the elders, Ken D

Dear Brethren and Co-Workers: On behalf of hundreds of our brethren who use our literature, I write to you today. On behalf of millions of those who are lost and seeking the Lord, I write to you today. To those who have been helping us with your kind donations for so long, thank you. We NEVER get tired of expressing our gratitude for your generosity. For without you, the brethren in Latin America might not ever have had the tracts, Bible studies and other literature needed to go out and tell one more about the Good News and salvation through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

As you know, these are trying and confusing times. But, there is one thing clear; we must not cut back on sharing the Gospel with the lost. Remember that for those of you who help us, that no amount is too small and we always appreciate each and every gift of your love and generosity. This is what you enabled us to do in our fiscal year 2016: Given the fact that we shipped material to every country in South America, in Central America, throughout Mexico, Spain, and Italy. Here are the numbers in regards to shipping and production: Shipping: 666,175 items. Production: 646,020 catalog items. Total amount of items which were shipped gratis: over $114,000. We have some great evangelistic tools to help seek and save the lost. We need your help to be able to continue the needed material. The Spanish-speaking world is hungry and eager for the message. Help us keep keeping on. We promise WE WILL NOT STOP. Your support helps us continue to provide literature to our Hispanic Brethren, who are so grateful to have it and share it.

In His service, Jack Satcher, Director of the Worldwide Spanish Literature Ministry, Wichita Falls, TX
