“This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4 (ESV)

India is the second most populous country in the world, with over 1.2 billion people, more than a sixth of the world’s population. Already containing 17.5% of the world’s population, India is projected to be the world’s most populous country by 2022, surpassing China, its population reaching 1.6 billion by 2050.      “India Evangelism” is aimed at saving and strengthening souls in India by working with our Indian brethren as fellow servants, and by “equipping the saints for the work of ministry” through Bible teaching and various gifts.  Overseen by the elders of the West Freeway Church of Christ in Fort Worth, TX, our congregation has long supported this work by specifically helping one Indian brother, PJ Krupalini in preaching the gospel for the Palivela, India church of Christ. PJ and his wife Ruth have worked for many years bringing the good news to their part of India.  Most of our contact about this work comes from our brother Royce Fredrick of Fort Worth who makes trips to India much in same way as Doug Wheeler does in Nigeria. What follows is part of Royce’s winter 2016 India Trip report.  Keep this work and the Indian people in your thoughts and prayers.  For the elders, Ken D

“I left for India Jan 19 and returned home Feb 9.  This trip, the Lord added 36 precious souls to His family!  This included our dear friend R. Kumar, a Hindu man, who has been driving for me for many years.  Another highlight this time was the opening of the new facility for Grace Tailoring School!  The Lord is blessing many lives through this school.       It gives help and hope to widows with young children and to many others who are facing very difficult situations.      We provided 1,483 Bibles, many sent to graduates of Bible Correspondence courses in India.  We also provided for 8 new sewing machines for Grace Tailoring School.  These are given to graduates of the school to help them provide for the needs of their family.  Funds were also provided for food and other costs for 4 Bible schools for preachers.  Funds were given to help and encourage 97 preachers as they labor for the Lord.  Other funds went to 11 different benevolence efforts.   We started 6 “Buildings Without Walls” this time.  These provide a covered shelter for churches to meet out of the hot sun and monsoon rains.   Thanks again for helping us and Indian brethren share the gospel and many other blessings by God’s grace!   Your brother, Royce Frederick.
