Beautiful Footnotes . . .
“And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…” Colossians 4:3
The following continues the latest report from Dennis and Sharon Welch, whom we have the honor of helping support in taking the Gospel to the people of Cambodia. Continue to keep this effort and the efforts of the Gospel worldwide in your daily prayers. For the Elders, Ken D
Teaching at CBS
As from the beginning Dennis enjoys sharing the Bible with those eager to receive God’s Word. Non-Governmental Organization, Cambodia Christian Ministries (http:// cambodiaministries.org/) also has a Bible school called Cambodia Bible School. Dennis studied Ezra to Esther and Joel to Malachi (the conclusions of Old Testament history and prophecy) with the students over the course of six weeks. Our prayer is that these young men will grow in faith and love so that many will hear and believe the gospel through their words and their good works.
2nd Annual Church Camp
Brethren from all over Cambodia assembled on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand at a beautiful, remote campground near Srei Ambel, Koh Kong, Cambodia. We sang and laughed and studied and played together over the three -day traditional Khmer Water Festival holiday. This year’s topic “Growing in Faith” led to some great lessons. We look forward to the day when these kinds of events are totally Cambodian planned, supported, administered and directed. Pray that we always walk beside our Cambodian brethren to encourage them from their strengths and from our mutual dependence on God.
16th CBI Graduation
Four more brothers have graduated and been sent out from the Cambodia Bible Institute to preach and teach God’s Word. This brings the count to forty-two graduates. A good post and more photos along with more on the camp above are on the blog of the dean of CBI, Rich Dolan (http:// randrdolan.blogspot.com)
Please join our prayer for those who will believe in Jesus because of the Word shared with them by the graduates of all the Bible Schools.
