NOVEMBER 8, 2015 WEEKLY NEWS

VISITING FOR THE MASTER

VISITATION PROGRAM Combined Teams 1 & 2 (leaders: Joe & Teri Winnett and Cary & Brenda Miller) will meet on Wednesday, November 11th at 6:30 pm in the library for their assignments. Next Visitation time for the combined teams: Wednesday, December 9th.

A LADIES COFFEE

On Saturday, November 14th, our ladies will meet for a “Coffee” in the fellowship room starting at 10:00 a.m. Some of our ladies attend quite regularly the weekly Bible class; some are not able to do that for various reasons.

So, this upcoming coffee is meant to help all ladies to get better acquainted with each other. It will be a time of visiting, just a social gathering, an unstructured “come-and-go” affair. There will be coffee and other drinks as well as a few coffee cakes.

Ladies, make your plans to come and enjoy this good and beneficial time together!

WITH SYMPATHY

Former member, Ruby Berens, passed away in Austin on October 29th. Memorial services took place at the Westover church of Christ in Austin. A private burial took place at Park Road 4, Lake Hills.  Our love, prayers and sympathy go out to all in the family and to those who knew and loved her.

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS

The Food Pantry is in need of plastic bags. It is very important that those plastic bags are functional for their use. Please, do not bring plastic bags that have been used for produce! There is usually moisture left that is unhealthy. Also, check those plastic bags for holes! They are not usable. Also, the Pantry cannot use paper bags. Try to recycle them in a different way.  As always, thank you for your attention and co-operation!

Beautiful Footnotes . . .

footprints-hiJesus said – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:19-20 ESV

GOSPEL CHARIOT SOUTH AFRICA REPORT

The Big South African Gospel Chariot is finishing the year off with a bang. Bongani wrote the following:  He reports that a congregation has been started in Mthwalume, South West of Johannesburg, where 5 people where baptized, one being a school teacher and who has opened her house for the Church to worship and have Bible studies.   On Sunday we had more than 6 people attend the service. We also went and visited and prayed with others.

This is the area where we struggled to get a place to put up the tent, the Chiefs of the area refused us to put the tent up. So we used one of the brothers’ house to put the tent up. God always opens a way for His message!!!

Amen Bongani. God surely does open door after door. Let’s all pray for that church planting. It’s easy baptizing and starting a house church, but it’s really hard following up and visiting that church to mature it and that’s where we need brethren to help. Thank you to those who do help us. We appreciate you. Thank you Lord.

Keep our fellow laborers in your prayers as the gospel is spread and disciples are made. For the elders, Ken D
