NOTE TO THE CHURCH
Dear Highland Lakes Brothers & Sisters:
Thank you so much for all your prayers and calls. My surgery went well and we are pending biopsy report. We ask for no visitors as I am susceptible to colds and viruses. I thank you in advance for your continued prayers.
In Christian love, Donna Feuerbacher
IN SYMPATHY
Our brother, Fred Pipes was called home on Saturday, January 10. His funeral was conducted Wednesday, January 14. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Christina and family.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! SUNDAY, JANUARY 25TH
This is the date of our next Fellowship Meeting. Couples acting as hosts are: Janet & Myron Fietz, Leana & Troy Futrell, Barbara & Charles Greenawalt; and, there was a rumor that Dollene Pearson would provide supervision! These gatherings are important for the strength of the congregation. Please make your plans to attend. The food is good, too!
FOOD PANTRY NEEDS
Our clients are in need of personal hygiene products such as: shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth-brushes and soap.
VISITATION PROGRAM
Our visitation program has served us and the Lord well since its inception in 2007, and we desire to continue his ministry in 2015. A reorganization meeting is planned for Sunday, February 8, following the evening worship service. Pizza will be served in the Fellowship Hall prior to an evaluative discussion of the program and suggestions for the New Year. If you would like to be involved in this ministry, a sign-up sheet is posted at the rear of the auditorium.
In addition, it is time to finalize the data associated with Visiting for the Master for 2014. Because of the holidays, travels, etc., there are a number of outstanding Visitation Assignment Forms. If you have served in this ministry this past year, please complete any forms that you might have at home and return them to the Library box within the next week. And, please be a part of this ministry in 2015! – Cary Miller
