Three faithful men have been suggested as new deacons. They are Cary Miller, Don Welch and David Zoller. This morning these men will be installed as new servants of this congregation. They are already very much involved in different areas of work which makes them an excellent addition to the other four deacons.
We pray God’s greatest blessings on all of our deacons, elders, and on all the endeavors of the Highland Lakes congregation of the Lord.
50th Anniversary March 31st!
Have you made your plans to be part of this celebration next Sunday? Can you think of former members who would enjoy spending this day with us? Give them a special and personal invitation. Also, we will be needing additional parking spaces. Those of us, who are able to walk a farther distance, are being asked to find a parking place behind the building, so that there will be extra parking spaces for our visitors. Thank you in advance!
We are expressing our heartfelt condolences:
To Larry Moore and Evelyn. Larry’s brother, Doyle Moore, passed away on Friday, March 15th, in the early morning hours. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 31th, at the Christian Church in Balch Springs, TX.
To Billy Hazlewood. His sister, Catharine Byrd of Belton, Texas, passed away last week. Funeral services took place on Monday, March 18th.
Our love and prayers go out to all the families and friends.
Food Pantry Needs!
Empty egg cartons are very much needed. We receive eggs in bulk from the Food Bank in Austin. The eggs need to be divided and put in cartons that hold a dozen. Please bring the cartons from your own personal egg purchases. Thank you for your help!
