Our 50th Anniversary Sunday

On March 30th, 1963 the Highland Lakes Church of Christ in Kingsland, Texas, received its legal charter from Llano County. On March 31st, 2013, we will be commemorating this fact with a 50th Anniversary Sunday celebration. The day will be devoted to worship and fellowship as we remember the victories of the past and look forward to the opportunities ahead! We are asking all current members to help us “spread the word” about this special Sunday. We especially want to make sure that former members and old friends of this congregation get an opportunity to come back and assemble with us that day. We would also love to see any old photographs of the congregation or church building from past years. Please start praying for the success of this effort and if you have any ideas you would like to share, please speak to Joe Winnett. More details will be shared as we approach the date, so keep watching and praying! — Joe

Change of Phone Numbers

Bob & Donna Feuerbacher are going to discontinue their house phone use. Beginning in February they will only use their cell phones; the numbers are in our directory.

On the Bulletin Board:

The American Cancer Society is looking for people who would be willing to use their personal vehicles to transport patients undergoing treatment to and from the Burnet/Llano County area. If you are able and willing to help with this, there is a flyer on the bulletin board about whom you need to contact. They appreciate help given.

VISITING FOR THE MASTER

VISITATION PROGRAM Team #2 (leaders: Cary & Brenda Miller) will meet on Wednesday, January 13th, at 6:30 pm in the Library for their assignments.

Our Annual Chili Cook-Off is Coming Up!

Next Sunday, February 10th, after our evening worship assembly, we will meet again in fierce competition, preparing the most favorite of our chili recipes. Who will win the crown of Chili King or Queen this time? Be sure to come! If you cannot bring chili, bring the “fixings”, like shredded cheese, chopped onions, etc. or desserts.
