GOSPEL NEWSLETTER – APRIL- JUNE 2019 CHURCH OF CHRIST, IGARRA,EDO STATE, NIGERIA Part Two

Eye- Glass Ministry
We were blessed to receive a box of reading glasses from sister Melissa Hargrove of Haskel, Ok. Sandra was in charge during a set time at the seminar to give out reading glasses to those who needed them. You may send eye glasses directly to me by post, or you can send money for eye glasses to David Cutshall of the Sioux Falls church of Christ.

World Bible School Seminars
On May 20th we organized a WBS seminar at Success Secondary School here at Igarra. And we used the opportunity to speak to the students face to face and answer their questions. We shared tracts and enrolled new students – since many of the older ones are graduating.
On June 21th, we repeated the same exercise at Apex College Ekor. In these two schools we have students who are studying the Bible through the efforts of The Highland Lakes church of Christ in Kingsland, Texas, Bridgewood church of Christ in Ft Wt , Texas, The Memorial church of Christ in Houston Texas. The brethren in some of these congregations had sent us names of some of the students who needed personal contacts. We need to repeat these types of exercises from time to time so as to complement and enhance the Bible-teaching efforts of the American brethren who are sending the lessons.

Bible Purchase
From the Highland Lakes church of Christ, Kingsland, TX, we received funds with which we have purchased Bibles as follows:
v 200 Regular Bibles – KJV, leather-bound
v 50 Giant Print Bibles – for those who are matured and have difficulty in reading small prints
v 55 Children’s Bibles – for teaching children Bible classes at church
Total Bibles Purchased = 305
We are so grateful for these resources for work. And we are appealing to anyone who can to help us with a little more funds to buy more Bibles, especially Study Bibles.

NIPOST Tract’s Rack
We are still able to maintain our stand at the Igarra post office, where we place tracts and books for visitors to take and read. This is bringing much interest in the church from outsiders. Some of these readers have come as visitors to church on Sundays.
