. . . will be on Sunday, May 19th. The Emperado family will be with us on that day. Richard will give a report during Bible class and he will also preach. Please put this change on your calendar! Hosts and hostesses will be: Bill & Mary K. Flanary, Cary & Brenda Miller and James & Vicky Williams.

Dear Church Family,
Lynn & I appreciate so very much your prayers, cards, phone calls and all the kind support you have given us during the time of Lynn’s health problem. He is working hard on recovery!
We treasure our church so very much and the love that is shown when there are difficult times.
Our love to all!
Lynn & Kathy Patterson

The Team, led by Cary & Brenda Miller, will meet on Wednesday, May 15th at 6:30 pm in the library for their assignments.

It’s almost that time again! The Heart of Texas Bible Camp in Brady, Texas, has set its schedule for 2019. Session One will be June 2 — 7 and is open to the campers in grades 4 — 7. Session Two will be June 9 — 14 and is open to campers in grades 8 — 12.
As we have done in previous years, the congregation will sponsor any of our children who want to go to camp by paying their tuition. Those interested in going to camp should speak to Joe, in order to get a copy of this years’ comp brochure and application.
In the past, we have been helped with this expense by the generosity of members who wanted to help. If you would like to contribute to this good cause, please speak to one of the elders.

Yesterday, Saturday, May 4th, the Home had its yearly Open House and Bar-be-Que. Unfortunately, we did not receive a flyer this year and the informative e-mail came last week only.
This is also the date for their yearly food-drive. We do not send food items for this event, but we collect money to send to the Home. This gives them a choice what food to buy and also to buy it in greater quantity. We are collecting money today, so we can send them a check as soon as possible. Your generosity is very much appreciated!

. . . the “Continue to Remember” list and the “In The Military” list periodically, updates are very important! If you think that your name or the name of a loved one needs to be removed (or added), please let the secretary (Helga) know! And as always, a written note or an e-mail is best.
Please cut out the “Continue to Remember…” list for your own prayer sessions. We need to reduce this list; of course, continued prayers are very important.

Mission Cambodia News & Update: April 2019

Dearest loved ones, As we write this update, we first and foremost want to acknowledge you, giving thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus for your involvement in our lives and the lives of the people in Cambodia. You give us so much through your love, encouragements, support and, most importantly, your continued prayers. Thank you!!!

“…that all might be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.” A region/province of Cambodia that is dear to our hearts is Kampot in the south of the country. We see this region, especially the countryside areas as a future full-time ministry opportunity. Kampot is the province in which our girls were born and we make frequent trips to visit there.

Recently, we started a mission to travel throughout the province, selecting prayer points at which to pray for the province and the people therein. It was also the first opportunity for Dennis to do this prayer ministry with Sharon and our three daughters. Please join our prayer that the Cambodians, Buddhists, Muslims and Animists of Kampot Province will have an opportunity to hear the Good News about Jesus.

Our prayer ministry around the borders of Cambodia, encircling the country with prayers and petitions to the Lord of the Harvest continued in February and again in March. In those two Prayer Circles Cambodia rides we circumnavigated the entire western portion of the country. (January saw us cover the Northeast and in late April we plan to complete the eastern half by making our first trip into the very wet southeastern region of the country.) Not only were we praying for the those folks who had not yet heard the truth…and for the workers who would go to tell them…and also dwell with them to teach them everything that Jesus commanded, but we also had the opportunity to encourage and pray over several disciples, church planters and ministers, including a Cambodia Bible Institute graduate. We thank God for you that you have prayed in partnership with us as we traveled. Yes—please continue to pray for the effectiveness of this ministry. Moreover, please beg God to send workers into the harvest that is all of Cambodia. This country is filled with darkness. Confidence that you are praying with us is a huge encouragement to us as we travel to bring light to destroy this darkness.

We’ll be on the road for another ride from April 26-28. Please begin praying that God will lead us to those people and places He has already been preparing.
God is always busy doing great things and we are humbled to be a little part of His work here in Cambodia. Please continue to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to raise up more workers among us, especially native Cambodians. We desire that everyone in Cambodia has an opportunity to hear the Good News of our Lord Jesus and of His saving grace. The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. – Numbers 6:24-26
Eternal love and blessings, Dennis & Sharon Welch
