To the Ladies and Gentleman, Church of Christ, Food Pantry:
A special “Thank You” to each of you involved, and Henry’s “Delivery Service”, in the provisions I receive from your Food Pantry. The crowd I have seen waiting to enter is more intimidating than I can face, so your service to me is a genuine Blessing. I share with four other people. All four send their thanks along with mine. I send Blessings and Love to each of you.
With love and gratitude, Beverly Griffith

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS
This past week has been very challenging for some of our people in Kingsland and those in the extended Marble Falls/Austin area. We prayed hard for rain, we received an abundance….!!! God knows what it its all about, and so we are grateful and that there was no loss of life in our immediate church family, though damage.
Things can be replaced; we also have gained a better and deeper understanding of James 4:13-15, “Now listen, you who say ’Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.’ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’” Our prayers are for all who were effected, for a good recovery, healing and resulting blessings in their lives.

THANKS FOR THE GENEROSITY
The elders want the congregation to know about some support checks that recently went out. $3,000 was sent to Eastern European Missions (EEM). $2,000 was sent to World Christian Broadcasting. Another $2,000 check was sent to help Sylvester Imogoh with his end-of-year projects to help widows in Nigeria. All of this was possible only because of the generosity of the brethren at Highland Lakes church of Christ. Thank you!

RELIEF IS COMING
Churches of Christ Disaster Relief will be sending a semi-truck to our congregation filled with relief supplies. They will notify us when the truck leaves Nashville, TN. and upon their arrival we will need workers who can help move the supplies into our building using hand trucks. If you would be willing to help please talk to one of the elders. If you know others who would be willing to help us unload supplies please bring them! The paragraph below will tell you more about the good brethren at Disaster Relief and what they do.
DIRw8K9XYAEVgzD“Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort immediately responds to any major disaster in the continental United States. We contact the leadership of local Churches of Christ in or near a major disaster area. If the leadership says their local congregation wants to help, we send and turn over to that congregation truckloads of emergency food, personal hygiene, infant care, water, cleaning supplies, and pallets of additional basic needs, for them to distribute to the disaster victims. These supplies are to be given to anyone affected by the disaster, regardless of race, creed, origin, gender, or religious preference. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. that employs fifteen paid personnel. The success of our organization though is because of the hundreds of volunteers that help us. Volunteers help us pack the majority of these supplies in our Nashville warehouse so they are ready to be distributed as soon as they’re received, even our truck drivers are volunteers. Local Church of Christ congregations across the country volunteer their time and distribute the provided supplies to the disaster victims in their area.”
